Ifedayo is a polymath—or, in Yorùbá metaphysics, an Òrìṣà: “Ènìyàn tí òrìṣà dá la n pè ní Òrìṣà.” He is the author of multiple inventions and holds degrees in theoretical physics, visual neuroscience, psychology, and philosophy of history, alongside advanced coursework in cosmology and women’s studies. A self-taught autobiographical painter with a recorded IQ of 196, he is fluent in four languages, two of them natively.

During his doctoral studies, Ifedayo, as the sole author, published groundbreaking research on Retinotopic Mechanics in Physical Review Research—one of the world’s top journals for theoretical physics. His paper introduced a new field of study, describing how neural cells behave as spring-loaded sensors governed by an inverse law analogous to Newtonian universal gravitation. He is also a pioneer in the emerging field of the physics of temporal intelligence. ConversationNet, currently being curated under his guidance, is designed to support the progression and development of this field and the creation of new general AI systems. One application of such systems is Cognia, an AI-powered auditory implant designed to enable humans—particularly those with autism—to communicate telepathically without speaking.

Currently, as a Theory Fellow at the University of Oregon—supported by multi-million-dollar funding from the National Institutes of Health—Ifedayo is developing a general mathematical theory of coarse-to-fine sensory processing, which explains how both biological and artificial systems process sensory inputs from the world. In addition, he is the founder and lead scientist of figbox AI, where he serves as Interim Chief Executive Officer. The startup raised $1.5 million in pre-seed funding and has been featured in Forbes, MSN, and Medium.

He serves as the Chairman of the Lafogido Oranmiyan Initiative (LÒRI) and is the direct paternal great-grandson of the 48th Ọọ̀ni of Ifẹ̀, Adémilúyì Àjàgun Lawáríkàn Àgbà ńlá Bọ́fà, of House Lafogido. Among his greatest joys is playing chess with his 5-year-old niece, Oreọ̀fẹ—a prodigy and an Òrìṣà in her own right, who typically beats him whenever they play.
