Yakub Dhikrullahi Ishola is a civil engineering student at the University of Lagos, an award-winning scholar, and a youth development advocate committed to academic excellence, structural innovation, and sustainable nation-building. He graduated from Yaba College of Technology with a National Diploma in Civil Engineering as the Overall Best Graduating Student for the 2023/2024 academic session, earning distinctions including Best Graduating Student in the School of Engineering and multiple academic excellence awards in recognition of his performance, discipline, and leadership. He has developed practical experience in site supervision, structural analysis, and quality control, strengthening his technical capacity in infrastructure delivery and engineering practice. Beyond engineering, Yakub currently developed the Youth Productivity Pact, also known as the Pact for the Future, an idea-driven initiative focused on empowering young people and integrating youth perspectives into decision-making processes across sustainable development, peace and security, science, technology, innovation, and governance. The framework emphasizes increasing youth participation, supporting youth development through innovation and resource mobilization, protecting youth rights, and strengthening meaningful youth engagement at national and global levels. Through writing, mentorship, and structured advocacy, Yakub promotes discipline, clarity, and productive growth among young people, positioning himself at the intersection of engineering expertise and youth-centered leadership committed to long-term societal impact.
