Uwem is a visionary electrical engineer and transportation designer pioneering Nigeria’s first maritime e-mobility landscape through electric vehicles and sustainable infrastructure. Initially driven by a childhood curiosity for how things work, he discovered early on that electricity powered the core of all engineering systems—an insight that led him to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering. During his studies, he built several functional prototypes that reflected a natural ability to turn abstract concepts into tangible innovations. Today, he is spearheading a groundbreaking initiative to map Nigeria’s waterways, laying the foundation for integrating electric mobility into regions long overlooked by conventional transportation networks. By merging his passion for transportation design with deep technical expertise, Uwem is reimagining mobility in Africa, building the systems needed to make clean, electric transport both viable and transformative for the future.
